Hi all, thank you for the kind advice. Basically, the new grouping also kind of the product classifications that generally known in materials procurement. This grouping will be used for the purpose of spend analysis.

I have also checked on the field of product hierarchy, but there is dependency that need to be considered. To create new field will require some config. Therefore, we have identified to use the field of 'External Material Group' since we will not use this field for any external data syn.

The concern of using this field is to consider if there is any dependency and if this field exist in any standard reports.

We would like to make use the field 'External Material Group' at Material Master Basic Data 1 for another internal grouping purpose.

Are there any standard reports that will display this field? Or it is purely an information at the material master?
