Thanks mates! This helps and no piloting is needed. The plan was to optimize production and avoid falling below certain level for C-class parts even though preparing for changing demand with coverage profile.

Static safety stock is an additional static requirement to undue demand. Dynamic safety stock calculate the target stock for a target safety coverage period defined in customizing. We can make it work like safety stock to be adjusted to match the dynamic demand level, but not fall below the safety stock defined.
