I have deleted the batch flag indicator before by dleeting inventories - past and current period as well as archiving batches MM&4 but if POs exist , even closed Pos is there a way to turn off the ba

Once on 4.6 or above within SAP I have not been able to remove the batch flag indicator if not only open but also "closed" POs exist for that material. It tells me that they need to be archived . Is this true
