Hi,

When the material master is extended to the valuation type level, then the valuation category field will automatically be greyed out when you maintain your material master at the valuation type level. If you maintain it at the plant level (i.e. with blank valuation type), then a standard error message M3194 will be populated if you change the valuation category.
