Here's what I think I should do, please comment.

Even though our company only operates in one country, if I change the system time zone to correspond to the time I would like the periods to close, while leaving the user time zone as is, I suspect it might work.

What time will however be displayed on transactional data?

How do I change the time the posting period closes? The default seems to be midnight, but we would like it at a decent time of the morning to ensure all postings are complete and correct.
