T-code MCBE is the one we have found to be the most useful, but it's more of a management style report as its interval period of analysis is by month. It also shows current stock, average stock over period selected, date of last receipt, date of last issue, etc in the same report

For consumption for a specific day-to-day period use T-code MB51 and select the 'consumption' (issue) movement types relevant for your analysis.
