Hi,

This is not a question for an SAP forum, but you should consult someone knowledgeable in Octroi. From my own experience as materials manager in India, I think the Octroi department is right. They charge the tax on the value of goods, which is MRP. 50% discounted price is for your own plants only.

Regards.

Satish.

Subject: Octroi and stock transfers

On which amount octroi is deductible in case of stock transfers?

Octroi is paid on MRP for sale or transfers both in my case.

But in case of my stock transfers, Is cost should be taken in place of MRP?

For Eg: my MRP to customers is Rs 100 & My stock transfer price is Rs (100-50 discount) i.e. Rs 50, currently octroi is being deducted by the dept on Rs. 100 but according to me it should be deducted on Rs 50, so please tell me the procedure if any, that how i can ask the govt to deduct it on Rs 50.

Is any declaration or certificate required from there side and how can I obtain that?
