All, first of all the status for an equipment (Material/SN) record is not
maintained in TJ02T. This table is the text for the actual status codes.

Serialized equipment is maintained in table EQUI. Each EQUNR has a unique
Material MATNR and Serial Number SERNR, and links to Status table JEST via
field OBJNR. In JEST there will be several status codes for each OBJNR.
Codes for Inactive INAC (I0320) and Deletion Flag DLFL (I0076) may exist
but may have the Inactive indicator set INACT. This is because as
equipment status is maintained, status codes are set and reset. Example:
equipment set to Inactive will get code I0320 (INAC), but when reset to
Active, the I0320 code is not removed, but the INACT indicator for the
I0320 code is set to X.

Note that there may be several status codes for each Equipment (OBJNR) in
JEST. Codes that start with 'I' are system status and they are found and
described in TJ02 and TJ02T. Codes that start with 'E' are user status
codes and they are found and described in TJ30 and TJ30T.

As for Batch of the equipment, this is field CHARGE in EQUI.

Subject: Status field on TC MMBE and MI21

Hi SAP Gurus,

We do not archive, so some materials, serial numbers and batches are flagged for deletion now we want to add a Status Field to create a "Z transaction" on MMBE and MI21. The problem i get from the developer is that she needs tables that links material, serial and batch numbers to status.....status table is TJ02T!

Kindly help if you know those tables

Regards,

Ntai Ramaisa
