You can first prepare indent for subcontracting using BOM.
Later have your Subcontracting PO
Move out the material to vendor by movement 541
Later receive back the desired assembly
Try MB51 AND BALANCE movements 541/543
You will be in a position to pay the vendor for the job he has done and know vendor balance.

No, subcontractor does not sell .Only supplies the labor to dis assemble the cycles.
