Hi Ramesh,
In most settings, the number range is assigned to related document type via configuration. In regard to where the setting stays, you should provide more details which particular document type you referred to.

Where you are going to create Number Ranges for Documents in Development
Server, Quality Server or in Production Server.
If we create in Production Server how it is possible assign the Number Range
to the relevant document Type.
