Thanks Jean,

I have been working on SAP in the inventory space for the past 5 years and have moved from vendor counts to BMC counts to consumption counts, the latter being more effective. Maybe I can help you in future, as we have some Pharma articles we manage in a montly cycle - excluded from the normal counting cycle.

Wow !

110 articles per day !!

That's the double we are expecting to count per day this year and while we
have like half the articles you have we actually just count only a fifth the
articles you have. Additionally, we expect to cover a full cycle in a year!.
Have to say that we count just 3 days in the week (other 2 days are for
other duties).

Numerically that is: we expect to count some kind of 10000 articles in a
year with 1 manager and 3 counters, counting +/- 50 articles, 3 days a week.
So, for more or less the same task force you are really beating us ;) .

I really don't know "cyclic inventory" best practices, I think it can depend
of the type of industry (mine is healthcare btw), additionally we are just
starting SAP this year and we'are trying to implementing cyclic counting
with the same parameters we did with our older software so your scenario
would be an ideal goal for us to achieve.

I'd like to know what others have to say on this and how it goes for you.
