Creating MM01 is not a major time consuming task as some think.(10 minutes for all the views including AFS screen views). Use the copy function where possible to create a new MM01. If correctly created the first time with all the screen views the results provide proper information to all the users (SD, PP, MM, FI CO). Some screens can be defaulted or left blank, but still created, so the input person can move on to the next screen view. If the data is created in a excel template by others, if can then be manually entered quickly by data clerk, or write user interface to download the collected data into MM01. Been there and done it many times.

Another option is GUI-XT to limit the view that is "seen" when entering data. I think it would work well if you have a lot of default settings, but dont want the person maintaining master data to have to scroll thru all of those screens,during entry.
