question 1 - yes, by transferring the SN stock of the first item to a new item number with same SN, using transfer posting MIGO movement 309. question 2 - yes you can have same SN for two different materials but if you really want to change the material number for a stock item see answer #1, the SN will get transferred and will only exist for the new item, no longer for the old. PS the old and new item numbers much have the same basic unit of measure for example "each"

How can I adjust down one materiel number (MMR#) that is serialized, and adjust up a different materiel number with the same serial number? Can I have duplicate serial numbers for different materiel number? If not, how can I delete/deactivate the old serial number so I can proceed? | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
