Subject: Scheduling Agreement Release Types FRC vs JIT

Hello Guys,

Can somebody explain me the difference between scheduling agreement release types forecast (FRC) and Just-in-Time (JIT) .

I think I understand the purpose - FRC is to allow vendor to plan the quantities that are supposed to be delivered and JIT is a request for a quantity of a particular material for a particular date and probably time too.

I created both types of releases and could not see any difference between them. The output was exactly the same although each one uses a different output type. If for both types I get exactly the same document why we need two different types? It seems to me they behave exactly the same.

Thanks in advance, Alex

RE:[sap-log-mm] MRP Type 'ND' Issue

Reply from ha_tran on Mar 19 at 6:36 PM
Hi,

As soon as the "ND" MRP Type is defined in your material master, that material won't be considered in MRP run and therefore, any further setting of MRP parameters will be irrelevant.

Cheers,
HT

Subject: MRP Type 'ND' Issue

Hello Every Body,

In material display screen of MRP Views Tab if the material is maintained MRP Type as 'ND' (No Planning) then why system is allowing to fill the Reorder point Qty & fixed lot size Qty.

Hence please some one guide me how can I make a condition saying that 'system should not allow to happen this type of activities while creating/updating the Master data. When the user choose MRP Type as 'ND' system should not allow to fill the Reorder point Qty & fixed lot size Qty'.

Note : I would like to know it is not possible to make a check when ever user select MRP Type as 'ND' system should not allow him to enter Reorder point Qty & Fixed lot size Qty ... Hence Please guide me how to make a check for the above process.

RE:[sap-log-mm] PO Not Picking the Order Currency from Vendor Master

Reply from ha_tran on Mar 19 at 6:34 PM
Hi,

Is it happening for all POs of the same vendor? or for all POs of all vendors?

Cheers,

Subject: PO Not Picking the Order Currency from Vendor Master

In SRM (classic scenario) We are creating text shopping cart, wherein we select the Vendor (preferred vendor) and save it. This generates the PO in the backend.
This PO has company code currency and does not pick up the Vendor master Order curr.

Are we missing anything in the set up??

Regards
Abh

RE:[sap-log-mm] Pricing Condition Populating to Purchase Requisition

Reply from ha_tran on Mar 19 at 6:32 PM
Hi Belle,

What is of your business process? Why would you like the system to populate the price for your non-valuated material in the PR? Was your PR generated manually? or via MRP run?

Cheers,
HT

Subject: Pricing Condition Populating to Purchase Requisition

Hello Experts

We order non stock non valuated materials manually through the purchase requisition on release strategy. There is a part number and a purchasing information record with a condition.

For these types of materials I can not get the value price to automatically populate in the Purchase Requisition.

Can anyone give me guidance.
Thanks
Belle

RE:[sap-log-mm] Scheduling Agreement Release Types FRC vs JIT

Alex,

Actually FRC represents requirements for medium and long term while JIT for short term. But the difference between them comes from configurations in OMUP.

Reply from Jennifer on Mar 19 at 12:19 PM
Hi,

When you create a purchase requisition the valuation price is filled in even before you assign a vendor (an an info record is called in).

This valuation price is not your info record price but it is your standard/moving average price from the material master record.

Regards,

Jennifer
