Re: [sap-log-mm] Split Valuation with MRP

Hi Duri, thanks for your help.

The company where I?m working has one Plant for each Society, and each Plant
have several storage locations for each physical branch of it. And I?m
working with just one branch (storage location) where I need to run the MRP,
so I have no possibility to separate the stocks of faulty material in
different storage locations.

Do you think of any other possible solution?

Hi

You can store faulty material in a separate storage location and eliminate
that storage location from MRP by making it non MRP relevant

All the best

Subject: Split Valuation with MRP

Hi all,

I have materials with split valuation (new, repaired, faulty materials). This are machine spare parts. The valuation of the repaired is 50% of new price, and the faulty materials have price 0.
I want to use MRP to plan the purchases to vendors, but I like to not use the faulty materials stocks in the MRP process. I mean, when SAP checks the current stocks, I want it not to consider the faulty materials.

Do you have any idea of how I can do it?

Thanks in advance,
Matías.

Re: [sap-log-mm] Does anyone have a simple MM01 (replacing) tool available?

Creating MM01 is not a major time consuming task as some think.(10 minutes for all the views including AFS screen views). Use the copy function where possible to create a new MM01. If correctly created the first time with all the screen views the results provide proper information to all the users (SD, PP, MM, FI CO). Some screens can be defaulted or left blank, but still created, so the input person can move on to the next screen view. If the data is created in a excel template by others, if can then be manually entered quickly by data clerk, or write user interface to download the collected data into MM01. Been there and done it many times.

Another option is GUI-XT to limit the view that is "seen" when entering data. I think it would work well if you have a lot of default settings, but dont want the person maintaining master data to have to scroll thru all of those screens, during entry.

Denise,

Good to be of assistance in some way. Another thought, when your users log into MM01 they receive a list of screens available. They can select the screens they need and then save that selection so that every time they use MM01 there access path is restricted to those saved screens - probably teaching my grandmother how to suck eggs but it might be of use.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your long answer. The customer has not that many articles but when creating a new article they have to walk through too many screens and too many fields with on top of that many dependencies, if value is this, than fill that bla bla.

They are already using create by copying from another material and only directly into the system.
I will look into the item of making (more) fields mandatory, optional or suppress them, thank you for that (what I of course already knew but sometimes there occurs a severe memory loss ;-) , we call that Alzheimer Light!!) .

Actually that's really the question if you think of it!
Thx!!
Best regards, Denise
