HI,
It is a bit more complex than this. Unless you have done nothing except create the material master in error, the above steps 2,3 & 4 will not do anything, as you have to archive and delete all the associated data for that material first before the material will archive. In SARA there is a diagram for each archiving object (in this case MM_MATNR) which shows all these dependencies. You have to work your way through them until all the data they contain associated with that material master has been removed. Then you can use the steps shown above.
