from EHP5 on words it is possible
we have credit control area field option in vendor master from EHp5 o
you have to config accordingly

Like in customers management we can define a customer credit limit to get a warning/error message while creating a sales order.
I need a similar functionallity that shows a warning/error message while creating a purchase order. Does anyone knows if exists some standard function to do this?
