[sap-log-mm] Are ME2L, ME2M, etc Considered LIS Reports?

All,
This is probably pretty basic, but wondering if someone can confirm whether ME2L, ME2M and the other standard MM list displays in that series for purchase order analysis are considered to be info structure reports and part of the 'Purchasing Information System"?

I have never thought of them as 'true' LIS reports as with MCE1, MCE5, etc.
I thought ME2M was NOT based on an LIS/PIS info structure(s). However, recently, after running ME2M and inspecting the report results, I noticed an incorrect value i.e. a GR101 delivered quantity was not reflected. This was in our sandbox.

So, just out of curiosity, I ran the standard program RMCBS039 to fill info structure S039 (with actual plan/consumption).....I was testing S039 anyway for another issue I was researching.

I was a bit surprised to see that the incorrect 'open' value in ME2M was then immediately updated/changed to the correct (delivered) value reflecting the GR101 after I ran the RMCBS039.
Thanks!
