Hi,

The purchasing group represents for a (group of) buyer who is responsible for procurement of materials and/or services. Normally, the purchasing group is used for different purposes as -

1) A filter to select related purchase requisitions to be processed; or
2) A selection parameter for reporting; or
3) One of the authorization object to control the access via security role definition

Hi All,

We want to setup a new printer and looking for an option to assign this new printer to one of the combination, but I have a problem because all the combinations are sharing with other plants. For example, using the same purchasing group or purs org. We are thinking to ask plant A make use of existing purchasing group which is currently use by plant B, will it be workable?

Is there any impact if we assign this new printer to the purchasing group and advise plant B stop using the purchasing group. What is the actual usage of purchasing group?
