Mike,

'R'eturns blocked stock is non-valuated because it hasn't yet been technically accepted by your company. If you need to value the stock immediately, then that process doesn't fit your needs. Instead, you will need to receive directly into unrestricted, but in a (logically) separate location that doesn't affect availability. Usually that means a parallel, virtual storage location.

When we receive "returns" from a customer the material goes into stock category "R" = returns. The value of this material is 0. When we move the material to stock category "unrestricted", "blocked" or "quality inspection", it get's a value. We need stock category "R" to also have it's MAP value just like all the other stock categories.
