That's what I figured. To make things more interesting, the price for a given quantity can be different each time they order. I think our plant needs to negotiate one price with the supplier if they want to do vendor consignment. Thanks for your responses.

They want to be able to put these materials on vendor consignment. They want to have different pricing on a consigned PO based on the quantity (which could be done with scales on the consignment info record). Normally when you move the material from consignment to our inventory it takes the info record price and that is the price we pay to the vendor. Our plant wants to be able to move a quantity from consignment to owned and then based on the batch number of that material tie that back to the price of the PO that it was purchased under. So if we bought 10K on PO 123 at .10 and 5 K on PO 456 at .20, and we move 2K from consigned to owned they want to be able to say this 2K came in on PO 123 so we are going to pay the vendor .10 each. They won't move the entire volume at once. Has anyone else encountered this situation? | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
