As listed in SU24 you can use any of those objects listed for a transaction, but as a matter of fact you should choose them in agreement with the security team. For example a purchase order security can be restricted by plant, purchase org, company code, purchase group, etc. It depends on you which object best suits your requirement.

How to discover what the AUTHORITY-CHECK we can use for a transaction ? I tried using SU24, it shows a lot of objects, but how we can know what is used ?
