In the below, can stock move from one plant in one company code to another plant in a different company code, without the SD module?

In SAP R/3 system, movement of stock (material) from one plant to another
plant or plants by either Stock Transfer or Stock Transport Order depending
on the business needs.
Stock Transfer can be done one step or two step process (Mvt 301 or 303/305)
with MIGO transaction.
Stock Transport Order is a basically Purchase Order used to move the stock
and uses SD module delivery process.

In both the cases, physical movement of stock take place.
