Thanks Dave for your suggestion. I also agree that EDI process is a solution, but I don't see this coming in the near future and I need a short-term solution. Updating confirmation POs is a killer and if I can find this temporary solution then it will save a lot of time.

I wouldn't go for automation - the exceptions will get you.

If the volume is too high to keep up with manually, why aren't you using some part of the EDI process for this?
