RE:[sap-log-mm] STO and ATP

To close this.

The issue comes as the delivery plant deals with many subsidiaries in which the storage location used is just like a bucket of stock. The allocation of stock is done via the STO delivery. The issue arises because we need to know in advance for "subsidiary sales orders" how much stock is allocated via ATP against their sales orders.

So it is going to be a client decision about the path to take. Stock at STO DN or confirm in STO.

Subject: STO and ATP

I have just come across a situation where I have 500 PC in stock and created two cross company STO's for 1000PC each and the committed quantity equals 500PC in each of the STO's.

I have never come across this issue before. I know from reading blogs and FAQ that there are few issues with the ATP check in the STO. I have also read SAP Note 766475 about where it basically says to remove the PO tick from RP checking rule.

There are also better ATP checking eg multiple schedule lines available in ECC. But will this new configuration stop the STO delivery quantity being greater than the committed quantity?

My current client will use the STO function for their subsidiary purchases and basically the delivery plant storage location will become just a big bucket of stock. What I was hoping to do was use the committed quantity in an ABAP report to show what stock was available in delivery plant!!
