The complexity is that we are having several demand plants and supply plants and therefore, the planned delivery time to be defined for each and every plant shall be different subject to whether that plant is the demand plant (which requires internal stock transfer) or supply plant (from which the external purchase order is generated). Furthermore, you will also differentiate if the planned delivery time shall be taken from the contract for contract vendors.

Hi guys,
We are running SAP R/3 4.6c and I have been hired to optimize the MRP planning and usage.
One of the elementry parts of material planning for inbound material is the usage of a realistic lead time = inbound delivery time + internal processing time until the material is fully available.
Now, having some history it shouldn't be a miracle to calculate the realized lead times from previous orders of a material and write the average lead time back into the material master.
Infor has this function in the automotive package but I can't find it here in SAP, although I am sure it should be here as well.
Please help me to find and use the inbound delivery time calculation.
