Unfortunately, SAP has hard-coded in its program to use standard movement type 701 / 702 during your stock-take process.

Subject: Physical Inventory - New Movement type config
I have created a new movement type for uptake of stock in Physical Inventory (copied 701 to create 901). I want to differentiate this stock from normal stock in Warehouse as this stock was previously issued and never used in production, therefore its condition is less than new. We have a system of valuing this stock and bringing it back to the warehouse, and it works fine.
The problem arises with;
a) the "Reason for movement", which does not pick the reason elaborated above when posting the difference.
b) MB51 report, shows movement type 701 (default for Physical Inventory Posting Difference)
Is there a way I can rectify the above points to show the movements as required?
