Ramesh Please note that there are several levels at which you can delete products. Products can be deleted at the master level but also at the company and sales organisation levels so you have to understand the organisations needs. As others have responded the correct method to delete products at the master level is through MM06. Again you have to look at other modules of SAP because for example, the deletion at the MM level does not delete the product from SD in particular, but can also leave elements of the info records open for purchasing. The SD problem is the most important because for a saleable product you can still produce customer quotations and sale orders even though the product is deleted in MM - the result is simply that you cannot plan or process despatches following deletion. Importantly the price file in SD has no links to the product file in MM once the product has be created and added to the SD price file so you can still produce price files and lists containing dead products and this may lead to contractual problems with your customers at a later date. Whilst I add little to the technical methods of product deletion than has already been said, I hope that I have highlighted some practical business issues that are frequently missed by functional specialists.
