Why do you need to block it for purchasing? Can you just mark the special procurement key in the mm to procure from the other plant?

Hello All,
I want to block a material for purchasing(plant-specific material status - mrp 1 view) but I would like to allow STO for this particular material. When I kept the status BP (blocked for purchasing) it is not allowing me to create any kind of STO.
Can someone let me know how can I do this? |
