Hi, When the target contract value exceeds, SAP will populate a standard message 06 042. However, the check won't happen if the PO is created with multiple line items for which the total values is in excess of the target value. For instance, the target value of your contract was set as 10,000 AUD and the first release order was created for the total value of 8,000 AUD. If a new release order is created with multiple line item of which each has the value of less than 2,000 AUD (= 10,000 - 8,000) but the total value of all line items is over 2,000 AUD, then the message won't appear. Cheers, HT

When I compute the overall cost of the material that I have entered in different items, it exceeds more than the target value (>10,000 INR) defined. However system is still allowing me to create contract without any warning or error message. I even created a purchase order with reference to contract whose overall cost exceeds the target value defined in contract without any warning or error message. I'm suspecting I went wrong somewhere. Can someone advise where exactly I went wrong? Can we have a contract whose overall cost exceeds the target value defined? Thanks in advance for your great support.
