Hi,

You have to consider:
1. Are these POs with the stock materials? If yes and you did GR in old system how do you deal with inventory in the stock (materials valuated by quantity or (and) value). I think that you have to transfer to new system inventory status as well. If you recreate PO and make GR you will mismatch your inventory status.

2. For POs into consumption it should work fine. But you have to process all necessary GRs. However this has impact to FI. You have to transfer also open items from FI and in this case you have to make sure that you will not transport open items for PO with GR.

3. Just to compare our approach during last migration was to recreate only POs where GR is not done. For partial GR to recreate PO only with missing GR quantity. This will not affect stock quantities. And we did in new system only FI invoices for all POs with GR/partila GR from old system.

4. How many open POs do you have? If it is less then 100-200 then is is faster to ask user to recreate them manually.

We made custom report in old system via ABAP Query. Into new system we loaded through LSMW. We did mass PO release afterwards via LSMW as well.

I am on a project wherein we are setting up a new SAP system (this is not
fresh SAP Implementation) and want to migrate data from current system to
the new one.
Users have requested to migrate all Open POs including the ones for which GR
is done but not invoiced. I wonder how to do it and what considerations
should be taken care of in such migration.
