Hi Ravi,
The decision on how many storage locations to be defined shall be made subject to various factors such as business processes, inventory management strategies, scope of operations etc.... Normally, such decision shall be jointly made by both technical and functional specialists.

My customer wants to have 1000 storage locations in a plant. I do not think it is a good idea to have so many. Customer does not want to implement warehouse management. What is the typical number of storage locations in a plant ? What SAP recommends?
