Hi

There is nothing called as a silly question as long it remains a question.
But once you have found out the answer, then the question becomes silly
thereafter.

A Parked invoice is an invoice which has been entered ( usually an
incomplete one ) but is yet to be posted in your books so as to have an
accounting impact. Therefore, parked invoices are incomplete invoices which
do not affect the profit and loss account and balance sheet.

On the other hand, a blocked invoice is already accounted in full and is a
part of your financial books. But the invoice has been blocked for certain
activities. The invoice might have been blocked for payment ( perhaps ,
owing to a dispute or so ) or it might have been blocked from dunning (
though it is an over due customer invoice, you have decided not to send an
overdue dunning reminder letter ).

Therefore , parked invoices are incomplete pending accounting whereas
blocked invoices are fully accounted invoices subsequently blocked for some
activities such as payment/dunning. etc.

Subject: Parked v Blocked Invoices

When you say Parked Invoice, technically speaking it is a blocked invoice since the "parked" invoice is not processed for payment... Hence it is "blocked"
