You could try setting up the "parent" as a subcontracted material, with the components with no cost and in a BOM with 0 QPA quantity. If SAP allows all that (I never tried) there would be a lot of zero transactions, but it might work.

Any help is appreciated. We receive a component from a vendor. We assign it a material #, stock it, and order and issue it to production orders as normal. Now, this particular component is actually made up of 5 pieces. Is there a way to setup this up in SAP so when the component is selected in a BOM or a Purchase Order in pulls in the list of pieces for reference purposes only? We do not want to inventory or costs those pieces individually. | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
