Richard - In the past, I've had to resort to debugging MD04, or at least function BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST. If your experience is like mine, you _think_ you've checked the dates on all of the relevant MRP elements, but I'll bet there's a date - or a number of days affecting a date - that you haven't looked at yet. For a rough first cut, you could debug MD04 and set Breakpoint -> Breakpoint at -> Statement -> "Message". I don't remember if that works in this case, but it's an easy start. By the way, the reason there's a number in the error message instead of a date is because there's a bug in the code that throws the error message - it doesn't convert it to human readable format before building the message string.
