Base unit of measure should always be the smallest stockkeeping unit you handle.

the problem occurs when EA is not the smallest unit & you try to stock, ship, buy in a smaller unit. The conversion will give you some issues. SAP advice is always have the base U/M so that when you do a conversion it does not divide into a fractional amount.
base = EA, but sales unit = PC & conversion is 10 PC = 1 EA; if you sell 1 PC, you have a conversion of 1 PC = .1 EA |
