If you want to have a single material master record for a stock item and then get this item from multiple vendors, in which you could have different vendor info based on which vendor you are going to use at any given time for procurement then you need to utilize the infomation record features in SAP and develop a seperate info record for a given material master for each vendor you chose to utilize. This way you will get consolidated reporting of usage etc for the material and seperate reporting for procurement from each of the different vendors utilized.
